Patsy Weekley, the mother of two-time defending Verizon Heritage champion Boo Weekley, will be following her son around Harbour Town Golf Links this week. She is sharing her experience with The Island Packet and Beaufort Gazette with a daily Heritage diary.
But I really do have so many people to thank, so here goes nothing:
I want to thank Steve Wilmot and all of his tournament staff for everything they do to produce such a great tournament. They do so many things behind the scenes that people don't even know about.
And there's Carol Bartholomew in the media center. She and I talked about that she still had my seat reserved for me in the interview room, even though Boo wasn't in there as much this year, and she said it will still be there next year.
Everybody at Harbour Town Golf Links is so sweet and so great. Everything we ever even thought we would need, they were there to provide it for us.
And the people from Verizon for being the title sponsor, and all the other sponsors, too, because without them, they would not be able to have this great tournament.
And of course Justin Jarrett from The Island Packet for helping me write my letters and share them with all the fans. Speaking of the fans, you can keep saying "Boo" all you want to, because he doesn't mind.
I'll be back next year, because I just love it here. Maybe I won't be able to play the pro-am, but I'll be here. When I'm here, I feel like the little old lady who lived in the shoe, except instead of having so many kids she didn't know what to do, I have so many friends I don't know what to do.
I've met so many friends here, and I can't wait to see all of them next year.
